There probably won't be a lot of chat today. Just wanted to show you a completed Shifting Sands. Grumperina created a lovely pattern, and I learned how to cable without a cable needle. I ended up using three skeins of Misti Alpaca Sport, including fringe, and it's plenty long.
I looked at my FOs for this year and last year, and there seems to be quite a lot of scarves, so I think I've got enough for a while. What with the blog and all, sometimes I feel some pressure to produce, although it's self-imposed pressure at that. I hope to be making lots more socks, and I'll show off some yarn pron in my next post.
I've started Katie from Rowan's A Season's Tale this weekend and I'm really liking the Rowanspun DK, so much so that I'm eyeing some right now on Ebay. It will be a quick knit, I think, and the flecks of color are wonderful in it. Talk about getting on the Rowanspun bandwagon late, it's almost nonexistent out there, but I might luck into some. There's just something about Rowan yarns and patterns that get me excited about knitting a little more than anything else.
Well, I stayed up way too late this weekend and I'm kind of fatigued, so I'll sign off for now. Happy knitting!
Leslie, that scarf is seriously beautiful (I clicked for the close-up). I love the depth of the color and the texture. You did a great job on it.
I can hardly wait to see your Katie sweater.
I am awaiting your yarn pron shots with bated breath! Hurry up the suspense is killing me! (Does that make me a yarn perv? teehee!)

Oh my! I seriously did not hit the button three times! (Okay, I went back once because it was taking like 10 minutes and nothing was happening and...sigh.) I hope you can erase those extra comments so that I don't look like some total goober commenting on your blog. Oops.

Your Shifting Sands is lovely! I've been meaning to make one for myself, but I think winter is going to slip away before that happens.
